Marks&Spencer Gluten Free Crumpets

Marks&Spencer Made Without Wheat Gluten Free Crumpets Reduced in Price to £0.90

Serving Suggestion - Blackcurrant Jam
Serving Suggestion- Mature Cheese with Garlic
These Crumpets are a delight to gluten free eating, they taste just as good as I remember non gluten free crumpets tasting. A lovely warm spongy light texture once toasted. Can be enjoyed with a little margarine spread on top or if you would like a naughty brekfast they are pefect topped with some strawberry jam. I even tried out rubbing garlic against a toasted crumpet and grilled with mature cheese a tasty lunch idea; though it would be healthier with a side salad and tomatos.

You get four generously sized crumpets inside which makes the price justifiable however If you go into M&S towards closing hours you may be lucky enough to spot some of their gluten free range reduced, keep your eyes peeled for the yellow stickers! I got mine for just £0.90.

If you are the only coeliac in the house I suggest you keep them in the freezer as it takes me about a week minimum to finish the whole pack, it's no trouble to set the toaster to defrost before doing so properly or if your toaster doesn't have a defrost setting your mircowave proberly will.

Overall another fantastic product from M&S. The kind of food I will repurchase again once in a while as a treat.

The first thing you should do after diagnosis of Coeliac disease

Being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease can be a daunting and depressing time I think what helped me get over my inintial shock and sadness was to start taking action! The first thing you should do after diagnosis is email lots of gluten free food companies asking for samples of their food. Most companies are very happy to as you are a potential customer for life, companies such as Glutafin and Juvela send out large hampers full of their range of food for you to try. Asking for samples is a great way to try out lots of different gluten free foods and find which ones you like. It's also a great thing to do to boost your mood after diagnosis as it's fun and exciting when they arrive in the mail!

Below are some email addresses to gluten free food companies.
My personal favorite is Glutafin.
